Since the foundation in 1994, bmd AG has had its place of business in Toffen, 15 km south of Bern, Switzerland.

The three company owners
Heinz Beutler, Hans Moser and Kurt Dreyer had been long-term specialists of "controls" for printing machines before founding bmd AG together.

For a few years now, the second generation have taken over important tasks, which allowed bmd AG to enhance its field of activity to home automation.
